Truby answered the door relatively quick. "Can I help with something?"he asked, his gaze a tad confused when he saw Danny standing there, unsure as to why.

Don shook his head. "Turn around and put your hands behind your back. You're under arrest for the attempted murder of a crime scene investigator. You're taking a ride downtown." he said, slipping on the cuffs.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! What the hell you talking about?"Truby asked, startled, "Attempted murder? I didn't try to kill no one!"

"Shut up. Just shut the hell up. We have your prints all over Detective Taylor's phone, not to mention his clothing. So don't say u didn't try to kill him. I'm done listening to your lies. Nonetheless, you're still coming with me downtown. U have a lot of explaining to do, Truby." Don said.

"Flack, man, please! Hear me out! I didn't touch Taylor!"Truby insisted, pausing for a moment. "I worked with his CO on the case. I didn't get the chance to talk with him. We were both in too deep here to risk it."

Don didn't believe him. "U will not call me Flack, u understand me? It's Detective, u got it? If u were working with Mac's CO, then why did we find your prints all over his clothes and his cell? I'm no scientist but I know they didn't just magically appear on there." he said.

Truby sighed quietly, shaking his head. "I knew what they were planning. I figured out that we were both pretty much found out. Both our covers were blown, and I knew it was only a matter of time before we both ate a bullet for it." He shook his head again. "Problem was that I didn't find out everything quick enough."

Don shook his head in disgust. "So u thought the best thing to do at that time was to beat the crap out of Detective Taylor, is that it?" he asked.

"No,"Truby said. "Look... I know it doesn't look good, Detective, but why the hell would I want Taylor dead? And don't tell me because he arrested me, he had every reason to."

"Truby, I don't have time for this, that's why I need u to come with me to the Precinct. It could still work in your favor, but we need to ask u a few questions, standard procedure. U know how the system works. You've been a cop for how long? I can have the guys rerun the evidence again, maybe someone's framing u, and maybe u didn't really hurt Mac." Don said.

Don nodded and took the handcuffs off. "I don't see why u should ride with these pieces of metal tied to your hands, Truby. Come on, car's downstairs." he said.

Don was surprised by Truby's concern for Mac. "He's uhh, he's holding up nicely, actually, he was released from the hospital a few days ago and we got Detective Bonasera watching him at his place. Thanks for asking, I'll be sure to let him know u asked about him." he said.

Don looked over at Truby. "Give me a sec, I'll put a call to him and see if he's up to talking. I'm gonna have a lot of explaining to do if he asks, which I know he will. I mean, after all, it's Mac." he said.

Truby nodded, even managing a partial smirk. "I wouldn't blame him for asking,"he pointed out with a shrug. "Thanks for all of this though. It means a lot."
