Stella nodded and placed her hand firmly on his. "Mac, u got that worried look on your face again. Was it something I said? Because right now all I care about is solving this very complicated puzzle. Where do we go from here? Help me connect the pieces together." she said.

"I'm worried about you, Stella. I know this is hard, but this is something we gotta do. I need to talk to someone and I know I can count on you to listen,"Mac told her.

"I'm always willing to listen, Mac Taylor. Always. I'm worried about me too. I wouldn't want anyone else to talk to me besides u, call me selfish, but whatever u need to tell me, I'm here. And I'm not going anywhere." Stella said.

Mac nodded. "So...where should I start, Detective Bonasera?"he asked, looking at her expectantly.

Stella shrugged he shoulders. "I honestly don't know, Detective Taylor. Start wherever u wanna start, I guess? Give me a million bucks if I ever find the answer to your question." she said, staring into his blue eyes.

Mac sighed. That helped...not. Oh well. He then nodded. "It all started when Danny called me back when he was at the lab. I had him on the phone when I was going through me place in the Bronx, I thought someone was there. That was also when me and Danny first told Don I was actually undercover."

Mac looked back at her, unable to keep himself from smirking just a bit. "One day I'll need to tell you. And they do say there's no time like the present,"he pointed out.

Stella smiled. Her hand was still on Mac's, mind u, and she wasn't gonna let go of his hand, not anytime soon. "Mac u do know you're the best right? Just thought I'd point that out." she said.

Mac smiled a bit and a slight chuckle escaped his lips. "Alright, easy now. I ain't perfect, you know?"

Stella grabbed Mac's hand and didn't let go. Was she truly falling for her boss? As awkward as it seemed to her, she knew deep down inside that she loved him and she was glad he felt the same way but she wanted to take baby steps and not string him around. "I don't wanna string u around, Mac. I know we need to take baby steps, this is all new to the both of us. Just thought u should hear that from me." she said.
